Switch to faster FTP Client
and Import WS_FTP Site Data
The 3D-FTP is clearly faster than WS_FTP LE and WS_FTP Pro (read
full study here), so it's no wonder that many WS_FTP users are switching
to 3D-FTP. To make this switch easier, we have created an Import-feature.
Import loads WSFTP site data and adds it into the 3D-FTP Site Manager.
Please make sure that you have 3D-FTP 6.01 or newer installed.
This version adds support for WS_FTP Pro 7.5. You can download
latest version here.
STEP1. Start Import
Start 3D-FTP and select Import Sites-command from Site-menu. Following
window is shown. Open drop down-list by clicking arrow button.
STEP2. Select WS_FTP Version
Select your WS_FTP version from the drop-down list and click Get
Sites-button.
STEP3. Locate WS_FTP Site File
The file import window opens. Locate your WS FTP site file on your
hard disk. The following tables shows site file location and filename
for different versions of WSFTP:

Replace UserName in folder names with your current
Windows login user name.
STEP4. Select Sites to Import
The available sites are shown in the list. Select check box for
all sites you want to import. You can also select all sites by clicking
Select All-button.
STEP5. Complete Import
Click Import-button to complete Import process.
STEP6. Imported Sites in 3D-FTP Site Manager
You can access the imported sites in 3D-FTP Site Manager, under
Imported Sites-folder.
NOTICE! Imported sites do not contain passwords because they are
encrypted in the site file.
